Breaking News: Govt. Labour director resigns
Labour and Training director Milton Scott has resigned from his post, Government announced today.
A press release issued by the Ministry of Labour, Home Affairs and Housing this afternoon, said Mr. Scott had left for “personal reasons”.
According to a Government spokesperson, Major Allan Wayne Smith will serve as acting director of the department effective today, and until further notice.
Labour, Home Affairs and Housing Minister David Burch yesterday thanked Mr. Scott for his “valued service”.
Said Sen. Burch: “Mr. Scott has dedicated countless time and effort to ensuring that those individuals who sought assistance regarding labour and work force matters received the quality service. Over the years Mr. Scott has provided the Ministry, the Government and the people of Bermuda with a stellar level of service — and we thank him and wish him well in his future endeavours.”
