Breaking News: Men beaten with crash helmets
Police are investigating another robbery — this time when two men were beaten with crash helmets.
It is the fourth attack in the last few days, including one in Sandys when a man was left with serious head injuries.
In the latest incident Police were called to a robbery on Woodlands Road in Pembroke at about 1.10 a.m. today.
A Police spokesman said: “Officers spoke with the victims, a 40-year-old Pembroke man and a 53-year-old Devonshire man. They said they were walking along Woodlands Road towards Bulls Head car park when two unknown men on a motorcycle approached them.
“The suspects assaulted the victims with crash helmets, took a quantity of cash from them and then made good their escape.”
Both men were taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital and the Pembroke man was detained for treatment to facial injuries, while the Devonshire man was treated for his injuries and released.
The suspects are described as two light skinned black males believed to be in their late teens or early 20s. One of suspects was approximately 5ft 8insl and the other was approximately 5ft 10ins tall.
