The Governor, Sir Richard Gozney, this afternoon announced that Major Brian Gonsalves has been promoted to Lieutenant Colonel and the Commanding Officer of the Bermuda Regiment.

The promotion, appointment, and the ceremony of Change of Command, are planned for May 30. He replaces Lt. Col. William White who took over in February 2006.
