Police are investigating the discovery of human remains outside a house in Glebe Road, Pembroke, yesterday.

At about 2 p.m. officers received a report of someone finding human skeletal remains. Police attended the scene and spoke with a resident who discovered the remains.

An autopsy was performed later the same day and foul play was ruled out, but due to the advanced state of decomposition of the body, Police are now forensically trying to determine the identity of the deceased and its sex.

Inquiries into this matter are ongoing and Police said no further information would be released until next of kin can be notified.
