Breaking News: Ratteray cleared of harbouring fugitive
A woman who rented the flat where wanted fugitive Omari Gordon was found was cleared today of allegations that she harboured him from justice.
Davina Ratteray, 44, told Police she rented the apartment in Sound View Drive, Sandys for a friend and turned on the lights for someone.
According to her lawyer, Charles Richardson, there was no proof that she had any idea that Gordon was in the apartment.
Magistrate Khamisi Tokunbo this morning upheld Mr. Richardson’s argument that Ms Ratteray had no case to answer describing the evidence against her as “weak and tenuous”.
He said the only evidence that Gordon was ever at the apartment was that he happened to be there at the time of his arrest. He therefore cleared Ms Ratteray of charges of obstructing justice and conspiracy to obstruct justice,
