Police released more details about the aborted armed robbery at Arnold?s Express on Front Street. The store manager, Stanley Murphy from Somerset, fended off the machete wielding would-be thieves. The two men entered the store, which used to be Dismont Robinson?s, around 7.45 p.m. on Wednesday and one brandished a machete while trying to steal money from the cash register. Mr. Murphy, 51, received a back wound nd a suspect may have been hurt. The suspects were light skinned, in their mid to late 30s and wore hooded tops. One man is believed to be 5ft 10in and 170 pounds with a stubbly beard, the other 5ft 9in and 160 pounds with facial hair.
