One of Bermuda's oldest residents, Hilda Cawthorne, has died at the age of 102. Mrs. Cawthorne, who lived for many years at the Packwood Home in Somerset, was born in Sandys, on April 12, 1901. For her 100th birthday in 2001, her local MP Terry Lister and the Gombeys joined her and friends for a party at the home. Known as Aunty Lala, Mrs. Cawthorne worked in a Hamilton store then became a nanny. She was married twice but did not have children.
