Civil service chiefs meeting in Bermuda
Heads of the civil service from the Caribbean Overseas Territories and Bermuda are meeting at the Cabinet Office this week for a conference on topics of mutual interest.
A Government spokeswoman said the purpose of the conference is to provide a forum for various heads of civil services to share experiences and find solutions, along with input from the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office.
Topics to be covered during the two-day affair include ethics and integrity in government, succession planning, the view from London, disaster preparedness, regional cooperation, and a talk by Bermuda's Assistant Cabinet Secretary Warren Jones on election guidelines.
Delegates are participating this year from Anguilla, British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Montserrat, UK and Bermuda. The conference will end today.
