A Canadian contract worker was robbed by a man who promised to take him drinking.

The 42-year-old man was leaving a Front Street pub at 3.55 a.m. yesterday when a man offered to take him to another nightspot.

But when the pair reached the People?s Pharmacy the man grabbed $300 from the man?s pocket and ran off. The robber, in his 30s is tall, black, with an American accent and was wearing a dark head scarf and dark clothing.
