A Hamilton Parish man was arrested after stealing Gatorade and Tradewinds from the Mid Ocean Golf Club last Tuesday morning. Police arrived at the Club at 9.40 a.m. and spoke with the complainant who stated that earlier that morning he observed a man placing several cases of juice into the rear of a vehicle parked near the club's storeroom. When the suspect realised he had been spotted he left the scene in the car.

A short time later, a 34-year-old Hamilton Parish man was apprehended at Shelly Bay Park with ten cases of assorted beverages including Gatorade and Tradewinds. The vehicle used in the theft of the juices had previously been reported to Police as being stolen and was recovered.

A woman had a handbag ? containing hundreds of dollars worth of items ? stolen from under the seat of her parked cycle, last Thursday, Police report.

Police said the woman had parked her bike on Brunswick Street, in Hamilton, outside the Total Fitness Gym.

When she returned to her cycle she discovered that her handbag, that she had placed under her locked seat, had been stolen.

Within the handbag was a brown leather wallet, a Motorola cellular phone, an Olympus digital recorder and other personal items.

Also in Pembroke recently, a thief made off with a cash box containing about $400 from the Royal Bermuda Yacht Club.

Police officers made enquires in the area, and a 50-year-old Pembroke man was later arrested on suspicion of stealing.

A Four Star Pizza delivery man was robbed last Thursday evening as he tried to deliver a pizza to a Pembroke residence.

The 29-year old was searching for the Orchard Grove, Pembroke residence shortly before 7.30 p.m. when he was approached by two men.

One turned off his motorcycle, taking the keys out of the ignition and demanding money.

The delivery man complied, handing over a money pouch containing $49 to the culprits, who then escaped.
