A 40-year-old man travelling south on his motorbike on Trimingham Hill hit a telephone pole, sustained a fractured arm and had to be taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital. The incident occurred at around 11 p.m. on Saturday night. The man was unconscious when emergency services arrived.
And on North Shore Road in Hamilton Parish, a woman on a cycle collided with a wall, while trying to avoid an obstacle on the road.
That incident occurred just off the Aquarium.
?What actually caused the collision was some bricks in the road which fell off a passing vehicle,? said Fire Department spokesman Dana Lovell.
The cycle sustained some damage but the woman escaped unharmed. ?She was quite shaken but was able to walk away from it,? he said.
