A male motorcyclist was in hospital last night after a collision with a car on South Road, Smith's, near the junction with Collectors Hill at about 5.10 p.m.

Police said the accident caused internal injuries but was not thought to be life threatening.

The cyclist was treated at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital.
