The Development Applications Board (DAB) yesterday approved a floating marina for 22 boats for the use of Renaissance Reinsurance.
The DAB gave final planning permission to construct the marina at No. 8 and No. 12 Crow Lane, Pembroke.
A Renaissance Re spokesman said yesterday: ?Our landlord is constructing the facility as part of the overall development plan for the site. We hope to have the simple structure in place within the next four months.?
Prior to the start of construction Renaissance Re must enter an agreement with the Minister of Works & Engineering & Housing regarding the area of foreshore encroachment, the DAB said.
And it stated receptacles for trash and hazardous materials like oil should be located at the site.
