A man who attempted to shoot two undercover Narcotics Policemen in February pleaded not guilty to 11 charges at the monthly arraignments session in Supreme Court yesterday.

Allan William Daniels, 25, of Brooklyn Lane, Pembroke, was charged with the attempted murder of Det. Con. Warren Bundy and Det. Con. Allan Meiguel. Daniels allegedly took aim at the Policemen during a drugs bust.

He also denied possessing a Ruger 9-mm semi-automatic pistol, four 9-mm metal jacket rounds of ammunition, making use of a firearm with intent to resist lawful arrest and four counts of possessing controlled drugs with intent to supply.

Daniels, who is represented by Craig Attridge, was remanded in custody and will appear for mention on September 1.

Convicted drug-dealer Kirk Roberts, 42, of West Side Road, Sandys, appeared shortly before his trial for a second drug charge was due to begin.

Roberts, who was charged with importing cannabis in October, 2002, was expected to change his plea to guilty, but did not do so.

Instead of going to trial, he will appear in court for mention on Monday.

Roberts was jailed in 2002 after being found guilty of importing 200 pounds of cannabis.

Four men denied attempting to murder Tariq Foster at Wellington Oval on April 4.

Ki-Roy Butterfield, 27, of Cherry Hill Park, Paget, John Stephen Glasgow, 22, of Spring Hill, Warwick, Jahcai Morris, 24, Sylvan Dell, Paget, and Tahir Bascome, 22 of Dunscombe Road, Warwick, were remanded in custody and will appear for mention on September 1.

The four also denied possession of an offensive weapon and going armed in public so as to cause terror.

Shane Edmund Todd, 26, of no fixed abode, who was involved in a robbery on October 7, 2003 will be sentenced later this month.

He will also be sentenced for either taking away Mark Lightbourn?s car without his consent or allowing himself to be carried in the car knowing it was stolen.

Mia Shawnette Butterfield, 36, of Wellington Slip Road, St. George?s, denied stealing $41,906.67 from the Butterfield Bank while she was employed there.

Butterfield allegedly stole the money between September 3, 2001 and January 22, 2003.

Butterfield also denied false accounting on October 1, 2003 and will appear again for mention on September 1.

She was granted bail since Crown counsel Vignette Graham-Allen had no objections.
