Dockyard festivities
Vibrant costumes, bustling crowds and Gombey dancers will help 2005 Destination Dockyard sign off in fine style tonight.
The curtain on the first season of the cultural extravaganza comes down at Royal Naval Dockyard between 7 and 10 p.m., when the will also be in port.
Many shops will stay open late and music will be provided by MC Bootsie, Prestege and LACE, who will be hitting the high notes at the Bermuda Craft Market atrium.
Diane Gordon, Bermuda Chamber of Commerce executive vice president, called on the community to come out in force to enjoy the free street festival.
She added: ?Destination dockyard would not be possible without the support of our sponsors, the West End Development Corporation and the Department of Tourism.?
She praised shops for keeping cash tills ringing late into the night throughout the summer season. There will also be a dolphin show at 7.15 p.m. and free glassblowing demonstrations throughout the night.
