Driver thrown from his convertible car

A 26-year-old driver was in a critical condition at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital last night after he lost control of his convertible car and was thrown out of the vehicle.

The St. George?s man suffered severe injuries after the crash on Paynters Road, near Harrington Sound Road, at 4.25 p.m. yesterday.

Bermuda Police Service spokesman Dwayne Caines told : ?The male was driving a Peugeot convertible.

?It appears that the driver lost control of the vehicle. This resulted in the vehicle flipping over and the driver of the car being ejected out of the top of the vehicle.

?He was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital with serious head injuries.?

Mr. Caines said no other vehicles were involved in the accident, details of which were still sketchy last night.
