A drunken motorcyclist struggled with Police who then arrested him after spotting him weaving his way through St. David?s.

The 41-year-old Devonshire man was seen driving erratically at the Texas Road/St. David?s Road junction but sped on after Police tried to stop him.

They caught and stopped the rider who became uncooperative when they checked his identity.

As the officers tried to arrest him on suspicion of drink driving he began to struggle leading to himself and one of the officers falling. After eventually being restrained the man was taken to Hamilton police station and detained. A court appearance is anticipated.
