Work has begun to clear the way for a new four-storey office block in Pembroke.

Wilkinson Estates Ltd. is building the new commercial building on the old site of the Island Coffee Shop on East Broadway, overlooking Hamilton Harbour.

The 13,504 square foot building will comprise a penthouse, office floors, mechanical room, garage and parking areas and a service area.

The building will adjoin RenaissanceRe, as the reinsurance company will occupy some of the space.

Architects for the project are Linberg and Simmons.
