An electrical problem shut down the Devon Springs Recycling Centre.

A spokesman for the Ministry of Works and Engineering advised the public that, due to a mechanical malfunction with the electrical system at the site and a lack of collection space, all recyclable materials are now being diverted to the Airport Waste Treatment Facility. This means that the weekly recyclable collections will be transported to the Airport Waste Treatment Facility instead of to the Devon Springs site. The public is advised that until further notice, the Devon Springs site will not accept personal deliveries of recyclable items either.

Efforts are being made to repair the malfunction and the public will be informed when the Recycling Centre is again operational.
