Family pray for Cheese Ray
Family members of well known automotive business owner and avid horse and buggy driver William ?Cheese? Ray said he was resting comfortably yesterday.
Last weekend, Mr. Ray, 80, was flown to Mass General, in Boston, where he received surgery after suffering an aneurysm.
A family member said: ?Although he had not regained consciousness, doctors were hopeful and there are signs that he was coming out of his coma.
?It is encouraging.?
Mr. Ray?s wife, Josie, is the 77-year-old woman who was knocked down by a mugger at the Southampton Post Office, in February of this year.
She has been in and out of a coma ever since and was flown back to the Island in October after receiving treatment overseas.
Although she was making progress in the overseas hospital she regressed due to illness back in Bermuda.
Tyrone Brangman, 16, pleaded guilty to robbing Mrs. Ray and he was given three years probation due mostly to Mr. Ray?s victim impact statement.
