A West End farmer has applied for permission to construct two new greenhouses for agricultural use.

Warren Brown of Bermuda Gardens submitted an application to the Planning Department last week for final approval to add two greenhouses to the property the company rents at Luke's Farm in Southampton.

According the application, one would be a single bay greenhouse while the other would have two bays.

Both greenhouses are intended to supplement current agricultural production.

Some existing growing sheds would be removed to create space for the greenhouses on the 88,198 square foot lot and the owners and trustees of Luke's Farm submitted a letter to Planning stating they have no objection to the proposal.
