Figures point to tourism boost, Senators hear

Preliminary figures released by Government show that the number of visitors that travelled to Bermuda during the month of November increased by 8.55 percent over the same period last year.
Speaking in the Senate yesterday, the Junior Minister of Tourism and Transport Wayne Caines said 20,345 visitors arrived on commercial airlines last month, compared to 18,743 last year.
Senator Caines said: ?The hard work and dedication by all those who contribute to the Bermuda tourism product is reaping rewards, and with continued commitment we will maintain and ultimately surpass our current success.?
