Fine dodgers could lose vehicle licences
People with unpaid court fines will find themselves without vehicle licences if a new law is passed by Parliament.
MPs are expected to look at two traffic bills covering licensing of bikes and cars which will also apply retroactively to fines issued before the new law came into force.
Also due to be debated are draft regulations on use of external defibrillators.
Government Whip Ottiwell Simmons said it would make it possible for groups of people such as the Police to use the potential lifesaving devices without fearing they could get sued if things went wrong.
Mr. Simmons predicted today?s session would be shorter than Monday?s marathon Throne Speech Debate which carried on into the early hours of Tuesday after MPs broke an informal agreement to stick to 15 minute speeches.
