Fined for drug possession

A Canadian admitted importing 0.58 grams of cannabis resin into the Island when he appeared in Magistrates? Court yesterday.
Jean Phillipe Joblin, 25, of Quebec, Canada, who had his mother translate for him, was fined $1,000.
Senior Crown counsel Juan Wolffe, told the court that Joblin came to Bermuda on October 16 aboard a commercial flight from Canada and was in the Customs line when a sniffer dog took interest to him.
His bags were searched and two twists containing the cannabis resin were found.
