A gang of knife-wielding attackers launched a violent assault on a man in his own home.

The victim needed hospital treatment for cuts to the left side of his head and back, but was later released.

Police said the suspects were known to the victim, a 35-year-old from Pembroke.

A spokesman said that the incident happened at 9.50 p.m. last Thursday, at Fentons Drive.

The victim told Police he was inside his home when a housemate allowed the gang to enter. "Once inside the group of men assaulted the Pembroke man using bladed weapons," the spokesman added.
