Generator thief steals from 500

A generator feeding 500 Bermuda Telephone Company (BTC) customers was stolen in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

The Glebe Road, Pembroke customers, many of whom who were still without electricity last night, are also now without a telephone.

Generators are in short supply on the Island and BTC hopes the thief or thieves will have a change of heart.

"We are appealing to the person or persons who stole the generator to please return it," said BTC spokesperson Ona Fletcher.
