Canadian visitors to Ariel Sands are in for a bargain after the South Shore resort announced it will accept Canadian dollars on par with the US dollar for bookings.

The offer, which is available if booked through Toronto-based hospitality and marketing group RMR, will means savings of at least 30 percent as the Canadian dollar is worth around 60 US cents.

The offer is available until next April, according to the Globe and Mail newspaper in Canada.

An ocean-view deluxe room with breakfast plan will cost Canadian $200 per person per night based on double occupancy, through to October 31; $150 in November and $130 from December to March 31.
