A Hamilton Parish groundskeeper who drove a lawnmower off an embankment on Wednesday was reported to be in critical but stable condition last night.

The 49-year-old man underwent surgery on Wednesday night for two collapsed lungs after the accident which took place at the Tucker's Point Club in Hamilton.

The man was reportedly operating on ride-on mower when he went over the five-foot high embankment and the mower fell on top of him.
