A tourist had her handbag snatched from the basket of her livery cycle while riding along Long Ridge Pass, Devonshire.

The incident happened around 9.45 a.m. on Saturday.

The 24-year-old female tourist said that she was riding her livery cycle north along Cedar Avenue, Pembroke, when she approached the junction with Marsh Folly Road, and it was then she noticed a black man riding past her carrying her bag.

The man rode off in an easterly direction on Marsh Folly Road. The woman tried to chase him but failed.

Her bag was white with seashell patterns on it and contained various personal items.
