Harris heads to Hong Kong
Prison Fellowship Bermuda chairman Jack Harris jets off to Hong Kong next week to discuss inmate rehabilitation initiatives with colleagues from around 100 countries.
He will run eight sessions involving 20 countries.
The Bermuda chapter has pioneered the Family Fellowship Scheme which is due to start in October to help families of inmates become self supporting. The pilot, involving the Salvation Army, involves a manual being exported to affiliates in 150 countries.
The Back to School programme, which purchases necessary school items for inmates? children is underway involving more than 60 children, will be integrated into the Family Fellowship pilot.
Prison Fellowship Bermuda is appealing for funds to match those pledged by the Bank of Bermuda Foundation.
