Labour Minister Randy Horton and Coco Reef owner John Jefferis had a ?productive? meeting on Monday regarding the ongoing labour dispute at the controversial hotel. However last night Mr. Horton declined to divulge further details, saying only that the discussion was ongoing, and that they will hopefully meet again this week.

Relations between staff and management at the South Shore property have deteriorated since Mr. Jefferis took over the lease for the hotel, formerly the Stonington Beach Hotel, last year.

Staff have complained of lay-offs, pay disputes, and miscommunications between workers and management, while hotel guests have complained that the hotel they once knew and loved is no more.
