The first graduates of Bermuda College's Hospitality division's new Service Certification Programme will be honoured today.
The fifteen students, ranging from 16 to 50, have all done a three-week internationally recognised programme through the Federation of Dining Room Professionals.
Chairwoman of the Hospitality Division Barbara O'Shaughnessy said: "Certification is the best way to ensure servers are equipped with that personal pride, knowledge and training that it takes to meet the demand.
Trainer Irving Raynor said: "I think that for what the programme is designed to do - which is raise the bar of service - it is the best short programme I have seen."
