Michael Pinder, 32, of Mount Langton Crescent, Pembroke, pleaded guilty to driving while impaired on Park Road on September 24.

Crown counsel Paula Tyndale said Police responded to an accident at a roundabout near Serpentine Road at 2.45 a.m.

She said Pinder collided into the nearside of a car, smelled strongly of intoxicants and was unsteady on his feet. ?I?m not going to lie. I?ve had a lot to drink at the Pickled Onion,? he told Police. ?I thought I could make it home.?

He was treated at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for facial abrasions.

His lowest breathalyser reading was 224 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood. The legal limit is 80 milligrams.
