Thugs clubbed a teen with an iron rod on Sunday night and then proceeded to steal his bike and the bike of his friend.
The 16-year-old victim was chatting with a 17-year-old pal outside Parsons Road Laundry in the early hours when the four men approached them.
One of the assailants struck the younger man on his side with an iron bar.
When the victim tried to get up, he was clubbed on the head and suffered a gash.
The four suspects stole the bikes as the victims ran from the scene.
The 16-year-old St. George?s youth was subsequently treated at hospital and released.
The suspects were described as four black young men, 16 to 20 years old and of medium build.
The stolen mopeds were both orange Yamaha V50s. One bore the licence plate 126AH and the other 413AH. The latter bike also had a lot of chrome parts.
Witnesses should contact the Hamilton Criminal Investigation Unit on 295-0011.
The Police have warned parents they face fines if caught breaching seatbelt laws designed to safeguard children. All children under 12 years old must be secured in the back seat by a seatbelt or in a car seat when travelling in a car, van or truck.
Adults do not have to wear a seatbelt in the back of a vehicle, but the driver and front seat passenger must do so.
Search continues for missing man
Police continue to search for 24-year-old Khalil Ishmail Roberts who has been missing since last Friday.
Mr Roberts is described as light brown skinned, approximately 5ft 11ins weighing approximately 190 pounds. When last seen he was wearing a blue shirt, blue jeans and white sneakers.
Anyone with any information on his whereabouts is asked to contact the Juvenile & Domestic Crime Unit on 299-4477. However Police would like to thank the public for their assistance in locating 19-year-old Tashae Bean who had been missing since Monday.
