A tourist who broke his leg after coming off his hire bike on Tuesday was in a satisfactory condition on a general ward yesterday.

The man, who was carrying a female passenger, became alarmed when a car overtook him on Middle Road, Southampton and fell off his cycle, breaking his leg.

The accident follows the recent deaths of two American visitors on livery cycles on Bermuda?s roads.
