Police responded to two reports of break-ins yesterday.

In the first incident, a woman was sleeping in her Warwick Lane home when she woke up around 2 a.m. after hearing someone in her house. Upon discovering an intruder, the woman screamed and the intruder, wearing dark clothing and white sneakers, ran off. The woman locked herself in a room and called Police.

Within minutes of her call, a husband and wife at Longtail Drive in Warwick, woke up to find a man wearing dark clothing in their bedroom. The woman yelled out as her husband chased the burglar away, but not before he escaped with the woman's black purse.

Police are investigating both incidents.
