Island employment survey underway

Companies are being urged to monitor their workforce this week for the Employment Survey.The reference week for the survey runs from Sunday, August 27 until Saturday, September 2.Employers are being asked to provide a ?snapshot? of their employment profile as it stood during this week and return the completed questionnaires by Monday, September 25th.

Employers are being asked to provide a ?snapshot? of their employment profile as it stood during this week and return the completed questionnaires by Monday, September 25th.

The Department of Statistics has mailed over 5,000 survey packages to all employers and self-employed persons in the Bermuda workforce.

In total, there are approximately 5,500 business entities including community organisations that will participate in the annual Employment survey which is being conducted under the authority of the Statistics Act, 2002.

Businesses which have changed their mailing address since the 2005 Survey or that do not receive a Survey package should contact the Department of Statistics immediately to update their mailing information.

Businesses that received a package but were not in operation during the reference week should mark the survey forms as directed by the survey instructions and return the forms in the enclosed envelope.
