Bermuda will host a prestigious conference next year about the changing trends and developments in the aviation industry. The Ministry of Transport announced last week that members of the Airports Council International-North America (ACI-NA), an international airport trade association, will be on the Island March 30 to April 2 next year for its Legal Affairs Committee Meeting and Seminar. Attorneys representing airports throughout North America will be in attendance.

This is the first time ACI-NA has met in Bermuda, according to Bermuda International Airport general manager James Howes. Mr. Howes is a past president of various airport industry trade associations in the US and is a member of ACI-NA.

He said: ?Their decision to choose Bermuda indicates Bermuda?s increasing prominence both in the realm of international aviation, in general, and particularly in the affairs of the Airports Council International.?
