Commemorative stamps just in time for Heritage month will be issued this Thursday.

The Bermuda Philatelic Bureau announced the release of the stamps, called Heritage ? Made in Bermuda Pt 2.

?The series consists of four stamps and an Official First Day Cover and highlights various Bermuda made crafts, continuing the Bermuda Post Office?s efforts to portray all facets of Bermuda?s heritage, culture and history,? a press release said.

The 35 cent stamp will feature cedar furniture. The Queen Anne Armchair shows the work of Bermudian cabinetmakers that fuses both Bermudian and British styles.

The 70 cent stamp will feature pottery. The work of Jon Faulkner is showcased on the stamp.

The $1.25 stamp will feature quilts. Lynn Morrell?s quilt featuring Bay Grape leaves that appear to be floating is shown on this stamp.

Other contributors to the stamps include Gayle Weyland, Sheila Semos and the Tucker House Museum.

Stamps can be purchased at the Bermuda Philatelic Bureau in the City of Hamilton or at any sub Post Offices. The next issue of stamps will be on July 15 and will feature orchids.
