The Wellington Oval trial got off to a bumpy start yesterday as lawyers delivered almost two hours of legal arguments.

The trial was aborted in January this year after a juror, ill with diabetes complication, was too sick to continue.

Ki-Roy Kinta Butterfield, 27, of Cherry Hill Park, Paget, Jahcai Morris, 24, Sylvan Dell, Paget, and Tahir Nesta Bascome, 22, of Dunscombe Road, Warwick, have all denied the attempted murder of Tariq Foster at the stadium in St. George?s on April 5, 2004.

The case continues today.

The Supreme Court trial of a 41-year-old man accused of importing more than $100,000 worth of cannabis with intent to supply, will begin this morning.

Terrance Vancouver Caines, of Tribe Road No. 2, Warwick denies the charge.

Last October, he was released on $20,000 bail and ordered to surrender his travel documents.
