Light session expected in Parliament

After a marathon 22-hour session in the House of Assembly last Friday, Parliamentarians have planned themselves a very light session today, debating only one bill and not looking at either of the take note motions still on the order paper.

Yesterday, Government Party Whip Ottiwell Simmons said that the Marine Offences Procedure Act 2006 will be the only bill to be debated today.

On its previous day of meeting, the House took note of a Motion by Government backbencher Glenn Blakeney that led to MPs talking until 6.30 a.m.
