LookBermuda dazzles UK travel trade show

An interactive map of Bermuda highlighting tourism attractions and services was the only one of its kind at a recent world tourism show in London.

LookBermuda?s plasma TV touch screen was featured prominently in the Bermuda booth at the World Travel Market, said company owner Jean-Pierre Rouja, adding that tourism officials were optimistic it would be a useful tool for travel agents and visitors.

?We were very happy to have LookBermuda join us this year at the World Travel Market in London,? said Thomas MacDonald, regional manager for UK/Europe Sales. ?Their touch screen of the Bermuda map proved to be a dynamic tool which fascinated and educated the trade attendees at the Bermuda Tourism booth.?

John Dixon, managing director of leading UK Bermuda tour operator Prestige Holidays, said the LookBermuda map could be an invaluable tool.

?It could be used for in-house training both with tour operators and travel agents and as a point of sale tool to be used with clients,? he said. ?We can?t wait for this to be readily available as it is probably the most comprehensive promotional material for Bermuda we have seen and would support tourism?s new approach perfectly.?

Mike Winfield who is extensively involved in Bermuda?s tourism industry as president of Bermuda Hotel Association, co-chair of Bermuda Alliance for Tourism and president & CEO of Cambridge Beaches resort was also impressed.

?I predict this will be a in the very near future for anyone involved in selling Bermuda,? he said.
