Man accused of murder attempt

A homeless man accused of attempted murder has been remanded in custody.Dekimo Terek Martin, 20, of no fixed abode, is charged with the attempted murder of Dennis Kent Simmons on July 15, 2004, in Pembroke. Martin is also charged with stealing a handbag from a tourist on July 15, 2004, in Pembroke. Magistrates yesterday adjourned the case until March 2.
