A 51?year?old Southampton man admitted prowling around a woman's house and masturbating in public when he appeared in Magistrates' Court yesterday.

The man, who can not be named for legal reasons, denied three other charges ? committing a sexual assault, breaking and entering a woman's house and committing a sexual assault, and intruding upon the privacy of a woman in such a manner as to be likely to alarm, insult, or offend her.

The incidents happened on October 8, 2000 and January 13, 2001.

Yesterday Magistrate Will Francis and defence lawyer Mark Pettingill told the court that they had not received papers on the matter yet.

And Mr. Pettingill told the court that he had yet to receive instructions from his client.

Mr. Francis adjourned the matter for sentencing on September 10.

By Press time it was not certain what action the Crown will take regarding the three not guilty pleas.
