A 38-year-old Sandys man was assaulted and robbed on Friday morning at the Emporium Building where the Ozone night club operates.

The man sustained several injuries that were treated at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital, including cuts and abrasions, facial swelling and a bloody nose.

Reportedly, the man was attacked on the ground floor of the building by five men who had earlier been escorted out of the night club. The men had caused a disturbance in the club, according to a Police report.

The men stole the man?s wallet, which contained $300 in cash and other personal items.

A 21-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident, and Police say that he is assisting them with their inquiries.
