Man denies wounding

A 28-year-old Pembroke man pleaded not guilty to puncturing one man's kidney and spleen during a robbery attempt, and knocking another man off his motorcycle, on Friday in Magistrates' Court.

Robert Green of DeSilva Close, Pembroke pleaded not guilty to charges of attempting to steal from Meshack Ible using a pointed dagger style knife on August 27 in Hamilton Parish, unlawfully wounding him, and using threatening behaviour.

He also pleaded not guilty to unlawfully robbing John Harnett of his wallet valued at $20 with $40 in cash inside, on September 4, and using force to do it.

Green was denied bail and his trial in Magistrates' Court was set for November 20 in Magistrates' Court.
