Man fighting for his life after motorcycles crash

A man is fighting for life after a head-on collision between two motorcycles.A 25-year-old Devonshire remains in unstable condition in the Intensive Care Unit at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital following Monday night's accident in Pembroke.A 35-year-old Pembroke man taken to ICU after the accident is now stable on a general ward.

A 25-year-old Devonshire remains in unstable condition in the Intensive Care Unit at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital following Monday night's accident in Pembroke.

A 35-year-old Pembroke man taken to ICU after the accident is now stable on a general ward.

The younger man attempted to overtake two vehicles and was in a head-on collision with the other cycle.

The cyclist who was overtaking received head injuries, cuts and abrasions while the other also received head injuries and broken ribs.

The crash took place at 7 p.m. at the junction of St. John's Road and Cox's Drive.

Police are appealing for witnesses and anyone with any information should contact P.c. Shannon Lawrence of the Traffic Unit on 295-0011.
