A man who imported 13.3 grams of cannabis into the Island was fined $1,000 in Magistrates' court Monday.
Damon Albert Thompson, 26, told Acting Senior Magistrate Carlisle Greaves that importing cannabis was a stupid mistake.
Crown counsel Koshea Scott told the court that drug sniffer dogs were drawn to Thompson as he stood in the customs clearance line.
He told officers that he had been to Jamaica to watch cricket.
Ms Scott said the drugs were found strapped into the waistband of Thompson's boxer shorts.
Mr. Greaves asked him if he had anything to say for himself and Thompson said: "I don't know, I just did a stupid act."
Mr. Greaves said: "I don't know why you fellas do this stupidness. One thousand dollars or 90 days in prison."
