A 30-year-old man was charged with three firearms offences yesterday in Magistrates? Court.

Kimwande D. Walker, of Highland Road, Hamilton Parish, was charged with possession of a firearm without a licence, having the firearm in a public place without lawful authority, and possession of a firearm with intent of endangering the life of or causing serious injury to Michael Stuart Easton.

Walker, who was represented by Graig Attridge, did not have to plea yesterday because all three charges will be tried in Supreme Court.

Principal Crown counsel Juan Wolffe objected to bail.

It is alleged that the incident happened on October 15 in Devonshire.

Magistrate Ed King refused to grant bail and Walker was remanded in custody until November 4 for mention. If convicted Walker could face up to 20 years in prison.
