Man remanded in custody over alleged cycle theft

A St. George?s man accused of stealing a cycle while using a screwdriver as a weapon was remanded in custody until his next court appearance.

Troy O?Neil Robinson, 36, was charged on four separate counts. He is accused of stealing a motorcycle from Michael Richold while armed with a screwdriver between September 1 and September 2, 2004. It is further alleged that between the same dates, Robinson illegally entered Mr. Richold?s residence.

Robinson has also been accused of stealing a second cycle, the property of Michael John Preuss, between September 1 and September 2 of last year. And he was said to have an offensive weapon, namely a screwdriver, in his possession on September 2, 2004. Robinson was not required to enter a plea for the charges since they are indictable offences. The matter was adjourned until March 18, while Robinson remained in custody. His lawyer, Elizabeth Christopher said her client had been remanded in custody since September.
